How to Save Money On Your NJ Electric Rates in 2014

The beginning of 2014 brought very cold temperatures for NJ residents, which meant most people started off the year paying more for their utility bills. And now these same folks are looking to save money, such as by lowering their NJ electric rates.

The first step in saving money on NJ electric rates is of course to conserve energy and natural gas. This means adjusting the thermostat by a few degrees. If it’s cold, lower the thermostat to around 68 degrees and put on a sweater when you’re in the house. In the summer, you can raise your air conditioning thermostat by a couple degrees to save on your NJ electric rates.
